Summary

His parents always emphasized learning and knowledge. Pichai perceived their life through the arrival of gadgets. He waited five years for a telephone, which was a rotary phone, but when it came to their home, it changed everyone’s lives. Pichai remembers getting their first television and suddenly being able to watch sports. Pichai never took technology for granted and has always been optimistic about how technology can make a difference.
My thoughts
Sundar Pichai seems to be on a mission to make AI the backbone of Google and Alphabet’s operations. His interview suggests a strategic shift towards AI-first, which isn’t surprising given the direction tech has been heading in recent years. The rivalry with Microsoft and OpenAI adds spice to the mix, highlighting the competitive landscape of the tech industry. Pichai’s personal background is interesting—it’s cool to see how his childhood experiences in Chennai shaped his outlook on technology. Waiting five years for a rotary phone definitely puts things into perspective, especially in today’s fast-paced digital world. I think that it’s pretty interesting that they are making AI the building block for new tech to come.

The leaked documents also suggest that the price of a Snapdragon X Plus is less than half the price of an Intel Raptor Lake core i7 136p. Nvidia is reportedly teaming up with mediatech to release its own arm-based Apu for PCs, which could launch as soon as next year. Open AI has announced the release of GPT 4, which features native multimodality and can process audio and images directly without having to transcribe them to text first, enabling its voice mode to respond to audio inputs within 320 milliseconds. Additionally, GPT 4 can detect and recreate different emotional tones and do improv singing. Asus has come under fire for allegedly refusing to honour warranty repair requests and expecting a payment of $200 to fix the LCD display and top case of a joystick drift issue with their Rog Ally. The company is set to unveil a new handheld, the Rog Ally X, which will retail for $800.

I think that these innovations are interesting, It’s cool seeing how quickly the tech industry is changing, it’s also interesting knowing that in the near future everything will be AI.

Why he’s good

Obama Pyramid (Chosen project #2 – Photoshop)
This is one of my projects done in Photoshop. As you can see it is an image of the Pyramids of Giza, but with Obama as one of them. I chose Obama because people like to edit him into shapes such as a sphere, a rectangle, and obviously a pyramid. So in conclusion, I photoshopped Obama as one of the pyramids by removing the background and adding Egypt, I also cropped it so it would fit.
